Respect The Game Basketball Training, Camps, Clinics offer local area athletes the opportunity to train with some of the very best coaches in the New York area.  These coaches are focused on providing our athletes both the instruction and the motivation to play at their fullest potential.  Each athlete is treated as an individual while also learning how to effectively play on a team.

Coaches and Trainers


Basketball has been a part of Coach Ken Koerner’s life every since he can remember. Starting from the days of pee wee basketball leagues, continuing on to varsity basketball as a member of the Brentwood High School Team. For the past decade Coach Koerner has transitioned over the last decade from player to teacher of the game. Although he still loves to play, he gets his greatest joy teaching kids the game, he has loved his entire life.  Coach Koerner spent ten years as the assistant girls varsity basketball coach at Brentwood High School. During his tenure at Brentwood, coach Koerner helped guide the Brentwood Girls Varsity basketball team  to seven straight playoff appearances, a league one championship, and three Suffolk County Final Four appearances.  Coach Koerner is currently a Elementary School Physical Education Teacher in the Brentwood School District. In addition to teaching Coach Koerner is also a Basketball Skills Trainer / Coordinator at Life Time Fitness.


Coach Christopher Harrison brings 25 years of Coaching experience to Respect The Game Inc.  Coaching has always been a love of Coach Harrison. Coaching is where he has learned the discipline and drive to be successful in all facets of his life. Coach Harrison spent 10 years as the Brentwood Men’s Head JV and Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach. During that time he was named JV Coach of the year four times. Coach Harrison then went on to take over the Women’s Varsity Basketball program as their head coach. in his eigth years to date at Brentwood Coach Harrison has led the Women’s Varsity team to six playoff appearences, three final fours and a league championship. Coach Harrison has also been named the League one Women’s Varsity Basketball Coach of the year once. Coach Harrison is excited to share his enthusiasm for the game and his years of coaching knowledge with players all over the world.
